    We booked the restaurant for a birthday celebration, expecting to be be made to feel special. We arrived at 17h55, and were not allowed to sit down, because the restaurant 'only opens at 6'. The staff could not find my reservation, even after I showed the email confirmation on my phone. That was just the beginning. Of all our dishes,( 4 people) only one was passable. The rib eye steak was tough and tasteless (how do you go wrong with rib eye?), my butter chicken was indescribably awful- the chicken pieces like stones. In the end we had a good time, simply because it was so unbelievably awful that we couldn't help laughing. I think the Oyster Box hotel trades on its name, and for that price we could have had a much better meal just about anywhere else.

    We recently hosted our annual awards at the The Oyster Box, and once again, it was nothing short of exceptional. It’s always such a special experience for our team — a real treat to celebrate and acknowledge our staff in such a beautiful setting. The atmosphere, attention to detail, and overall standard truly make it feel like a five-star occasion in every sense. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive throughout, ensuring everything ran seamlessly. And the food… absolutely outstanding. Every element was executed to perfection. Thank you for helping us create such a memorable event. We’ll be back — as always.

    Would have liked an explanation of different k8nd of foods. Did not know what trotters was. I did ask the person behind counter, and he explained it. The waiter just disappeared, I had to ask f t bill from another waiter, but did not get it. Eventually went to the counter, and waiter suddenly appeared. I asked where he dissappeared to. Said he was busy with take- aways for next door? Had to ask for some water to rinse my hands after cracking the crab shell. Why not some wet ones available. Enjoyed different curries. Thanks
