Morii at The Vineyard Hotel offers an Italian-inspired dining experience shaped by Cape Town’s seasons, produce and sense of place. The name Morii speaks to the desire to hold onto fleeting, beautiful moments, which is exactly what the restaurant celebrates through handmade pastas, slow-proved breads, house made charcuterie and cold-fermented wood-fired pizzas. Fresh, ingredient-led dishes offer familiar comfort with a lighter, expressive touch, from a reimagined Caprese to a deeply comforting tiramisu.

The drinks program is crafted with the same attention to balance and enjoyment. The wine list brings together Italian expressions and Cape favourites chosen for character and terroir. The cocktail menu centers on the Negroni, offered in thoughtful regional interpretations, alongside lighter spritzes and classic digestives including grappa and limoncello.

    We had the spaghetti bolognese which we all found extremely disappointing-. There is no point in trying to change a classic comfort food - we didn’t eat it ..

    We had the most attentive waitress, making sure we got our food quickly and even bringing the sweets that we would have had for takeaway. It’s a beautiful space and delicious food. We just found that the noise made it difficult to hear each other.

    Great evening of food and wine Although disappointed with management as they gave my pre booked table of 16 people away to walk in customers after I had reconfirmed my book in person at lunch time with the manager. They relocated out at the back outside, food was great and service was good.
