    We were received by welcoming staff; however, the first server to come to the table turned sour and unfriendly when a guest placed an order for water and coffee in Afrikaans. She was not polite about not understanding … in fact she most likely did understand. Her bad attitude was so obvious that others around the table discussed it - annoyed, as we are paying clients in a town with a large local contingent of Afrikaans speakers. Other serving staff later did address the table in Afrikaans - and our guests were polite (all switched to English); however, the negative vibe has left a bad taste in the mouth. Not sure I will repeat coming to the breakfast room for a birthday celebration.
