Growing up in ​the sixties, different was good. Weird was good. Swimming against the stream was a dream.

We were always looking for an unconventional, different place to visit with simple, good food and coffee, followed by a beer, a glass of wine or a cocktail. Always unhurried, a pleasant, mellow environment with light music to sit, relax and let time slip by. Never being able to find what we were looking for, we decided to try and create our own.

The Shed & Silo is our labour of love. A work in progress that is full of surprises and never completely finished. We are continually trying to create what we were looking for.

    I visited during a busy morning, so I completely understand that the service was a little slow. However, it was still a bit frustrating trying to get anyone’s attention to assist with drinks. While I can appreciate the hustle during a busy time, it would have been nice to receive a bit more attention to make the experience smoother.

    The waiter was the best I ever had in my life. Very professional and friendly. I cannot remember her name.

    It is always a pleasure to dine at Shed and Silo! All my lunch dates have moved to this venue. Even my friends from Johannesburg and Pretoria are happy to drive the extra distance to enjoy the lovely ambience.
