Growing up in ​the sixties, different was good. Weird was good. Swimming against the stream was a dream.

We were always looking for an unconventional, different place to visit with simple, good food and coffee, followed by a beer, a glass of wine or a cocktail. Always unhurried, a pleasant, mellow environment with light music to sit, relax and let time slip by. Never being able to find what we were looking for, we decided to try and create our own.

The Shed & Silo is our labour of love. A work in progress that is full of surprises and never completely finished. We are continually trying to create what we were looking for.

    The waitress that served us seemed in-experienced - coffee served without tea spoons & food served without cutlery which each time we had to ask for. Two of us ordered the Smashed avo & halloumi. Sadly the bread it was served on was like a "door stopper" much too thick, which both of us scrapped off the avo and halloumi to leave the door stopper behind. The other two ladies were happy with their meals.

    Invited my friends for a birthday lunch Shed and Silo. Its the perfect place to enjoy the afternoon, the food is fantastic, and the waiters are always friendly and look after us well. It is like being at a wine farm but in Joburg - I will recommend it to anyone who asks.

    Food and drinks enjoyed by all in the lovely Shed. Missed the Lamb and Couscous however from the past.
