Situated in an elevated valley of outstanding beauty, Oldenburg Vineyards is surrounded by a spectacular mountain amphitheatre. At the heart of the farm lies Rondekop – our iconic, round hill which influences the vineyards planted on and around it, creating our extraordinary terroir.

Please note: The maximum table size available for online bookings at The Tasting Room is 7 guests. Should you wish to book for a larger group, please contact the restaurant directly so we can assist you accordingly. Multiple smaller reservations made to accommodate a larger group are not permitted. The Tasting Room reserves the right of admission in such cases.     Let’s start with the positives: this is a beautiful vineyard in wonderful surroundings and the view from the tasting room was unbelievable. We tasted some excellent wines plus cheese and olives, and the sommelier serving us was very helpful and had a lovely sense of humour. The one real let down was how we were greeted when we arrived. We had made two separate bookings for five people each because you cannot book a table for ten and my partner mentioned this when we walked in. We also said that we would be happy with either one large or two tables. Greg at the reception told him in what can only be called a snotty manner that ‘this is not how this is done’ and was about as unwelcoming and rude as one could imagine. I am not sure what we did wrong but other customers that walked in without a reservation were treated much more respectfully by him. It’s a real pity because it spoiled what could have been the most wonderful afternoon.

    Very nice facility for wine tasting (view, building, facilities), very friendly personell and good advice/information about wines and winery. High qualiy wines!

    A wine tasting at Oldenburg is always an amazing experience. The venue is very classy, the views are stunning and all the personnel are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The wines are of an excellent quality and from the best in South-Africa.
