    Our waiter told us they close at 17h00 when in fact they close at 18h00.

    Thank you for your feedback, Candy. On Sundays our kitchen closes at 16:00, after which we begin closing procedures. The venue may remain open until around 17:00 to 18:00 depending on the number of guests still in store, however service becomes limited during this time. We understand how this may have been unclear and appreciate you bringing it to our attention.

    The general ambience was great but I felt a little off that my reservation was not marked and yet I had booked on Dineplan. But another than that the experience was great the tasting board we had was amazing, would recommend.

    The wine featured this month left very little to admire. Making the tasting very meek. And leaving us not really wanting to continue to order further after that. The food was ok, the service from Lee was absolutely amazing. But the ambience was a let down. With parties being celebrated everywhere instead of a dedicated area it left the patio being extremely loud. We couldn't even chat and catch up because we could not hear each other.

At The Tasting Room we partner with a diverse range of South African producers chosen for their story, philosophy and contribution to the local wine landscape. Niel Joubert is a fifth-generation family estate in Paarl, with Simonsberg vineyards known for producing balanced, elegant wines that reflect authentic vineyard character. Alongside their wine production, the farm is also recognised for its extensive deciduous fruit farming and for its commitment to the wellbeing of their farm community, including support initiatives for employees’ children such as an on-site crèche and after-school programme. We also appreciate your comments regarding both the food and the ambience. Our patio environment can become lively during celebrations, and we always aim to create an enjoyable social atmosphere while assisting guests who may prefer a quieter seating area where possible.     Good food, but the waiter I was given really did not cater for me. Not once did he check on my table. I had orded a second drink which he had forgotten to place the order I sat there for 15 min until I had to ask another waiter on what was going and that was when he attended to me. Making another order was difficult too, due to not being checked on I had to ask another waiter to give me the menu so I can look into what to order next. Even the bill took time to come. Honestly I'm not sure what was going on with my waiter. It was so disappointing, because looking around everyone was being served well with their other waiters. Their waiter would regularly check on their table not once did they need to look around and ask to be assisted. Oh sana that waiter did not deserve my tip at all, I just gave it out due to courtesy.
