    The ambiance and food was great.Service was excellent and Ntombi our waitress made us feel welcome.She was attentive and funny. The fact that the chefs took the time to come to our table to introduce themselves, made the whole experience more personal.

    Generally, it was very, very disappointing. Not all the dishes on the menu were available. Then, some that were ordered were canceled by the Chef 15 mins later because he did not have the necessary ingredients. Half of the dishes were ok but the other half mediocre. Finally, the music playlist was inadequate (I am a musician) and too loud. Honestly, the whole party said they would not eat at The Verandah again.

    What a treat to dine at the Mount Nelson. The Verandah was such a positive surprise. The menu is short but offer a lot of different options. The pricing was fair and the quality and service exceptional. Definitely going to go back.
