    The Verandah restaurant continues to be our 'go to' restaurant in Cape Town. The food is excellent, the service exemplary and the ambience commensurate with a five star Belmond hotel with its unique tradition. Our only criticism is that many of the traditional artworks featuring historic scenes, some with a marine theme, have been replaced with artwork irrelevant to the hotel's history. Perhaps the large scenic mural that used to feature in the old Cape Colony restaurant could be brought back and displayed? Some of our fellow diners were dressed as though they were dining at a MacDonald's so perhaps the hotel could issue an advisory on the standards of dress required in the restaurant?

    I had a great experience spending time at the hotel with my mini family. My wife hasn’t stopped talking about how lovely and friendly the staff members were. Williams was extremely patient and understanding throughout our stay. A special thank‑you to Erich, who took time to play with my son — the little one truly enjoyed himself. It was a wonderful experience being a guest in my own workplace. Thank you to the entire MNH team for making our visit memorable.

    Very nice restaurant with a great outdoor terrace. Very good service. One of the best Negronis in Cape Town! The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was consistently very, very good. The beef Wellington was excellent and one of the best I've ever had. All in all, highly recommended.
