    Dear Nellies. We were fortunate to be served by Nqobile, who was a breath of fresh air in this tough sector of hospitality. The food was excellent if pricey, but after all I chose a 5 Star restaurant for my birthday dinner. And as a surprise you presented us with a tasty and generous slice of birthday cake. Embarrassingly we had to ask for a doggy bag as we were unable to finish it. In summary it was a wonderful and worthwhile dining experience. Thank you very much, Verandah team. Adolf Papsch

    Higher prices than average but dishes were generous in all cases. A limited choice for vegetsans. Beverage choices are extensive

    Excellent food, attentive and friendly staff. Beautiful surroundings. All round an excellent experience. And I would love the recipe for the confit carrots!

    We come every year to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. This year we came to the Verandah. The bottle of wine we wanted to order was not available. The chips we both received were average. I good try but not what we expected. My Wife's fish looked and tasted delicious, her salad that came with meal did not please either of us. I look old but assure you I can still cut a tender sirloin. Not needed, and other than appearance on a plate, the steak gets colder quicker. The beans under the steak were OK. Creme Brulee was delicious, but, all that stuff you put on top of it could have been served on the side! The bill arrived and the bottle of wine was not on it. I ask it to be added before paying it. After mentioning several times to reservations, restaurant manager and waitress, our Anniversary was completely ignored. Might be time for us to find another venue. Roger & Diane
