Located on Bree Street, The Wiggle Room is a new 12-seater chef’s counter dining experience where fine dining loosens its tie and settles into something far more exciting. Chef Ismail Amos, AKA Fish, cooks to the rhythm of his own music playlist – no set menu, no repetition, just music, good food and serious skill. The full experience is R2850 per person which includes your pairing. Expect a 7–8-course dinner that changes weekly, where each dish flows naturally into the next. Alongside him, Lester – virtuoso mixologist and sommelier – crafts bespoke cocktails and wine pairings for each course. This is fine dining, but with some wiggle room.

    Amazing amazing amazing that's all I can say with the chef and sommelier on hand to explain all the dishes plus the wine pairings. Will definitely tell all my foodies about the experience.

    This is a beautiful mixture of Omakase style with western culture, where the chef is not afraid to push boundaries. The food is unusual and delicious. The drinks pairing is flawless, and the staff is kind and entertaining. They change their menu every week, so it is good if you want to have something completely different. Full of amazing contradictions that sparks your interest and palate. Do not miss this one, it is a Cape Town gem. Since it is a counter dining, please understand you will be side by side with other guests. Although I didn't see that as an issue, I understand some might be expecting something different.

    Discreetly tucked behind closed doors at Wiggle on Bree, this is one of Cape Town’s most clever uses of space — and one of its most exciting dining rooms right now. Wiggle Room is loud, buzzy, and unapologetically alive. A banging playlist, counter dining, open kitchen energy, and the kind of chef interaction that’s becoming rare — the kind that makes you feel part of the story, not just seated at a table. The food is refreshing, inventive with nothing pompous on the plate. Just beautifully executed dishes, flavours that pop and linger, and a menu that feels playful, confident, and considered. No fluff — just flavour. Loved the mystery, the chats, the wine, the people hustling to make it happen, the drama, the art, the music — all of it. This is not your quiet date night spot…but if you’re looking for a buzzy, electric, stay-for-one-more-song kind of place, check it out! Cape Town dining needs more of this energy. Wiggle Room delivers it in spades.
