The Wild Fig Restaurant is a fully licensed Restaurant and Bar situated on a portion of the historic Valkenburg Estate. Our bar is situated in the original barn which is a National Monument. We have beautiful outdoor seating areas as well as private dining areas. We cater for all manner of events such as functions, conference, weddings, cocktail functions, breakfasts and celebrations.

    Enjoyed our morning catching up.with old friends. Only criticism would be the sourdough toast was very hard but I know that is the nature of sourdough bread. Perhaps have another option.

    Wild Fig has been a family favourite for years and continues to be so. Thanks for being so consistent. The only thing we miss is lamb in phyllo.

    Following a spur of the moment decision we called the restaurant at 7pm on a Thursday night in the lead up to Xmas, to find out if we could book dinner for that evening. To our surprise, they could give us a table at 8pm. Wild Fig was a favourite dining spot several years ago but we hadn't been back for a number of years. What a delightful experience, we got a warm and friendly reception, the food was top drawer (Miso soup was divine as it had the right combination of flavours without one overpowering the other.) In fact, everything we ordered from starters, mains to dessert was top drawer. Wild Fig is really a hidden gem and well worth supporting. Highly recommended.
