Located in the seaside village of Glencairn, overlooking the sweeping views of False Bay, Tintswalo Summer House breathes new life into the historic Glencairn Southern Right Hotel originally established in 1904. Blending heritage architecture with modern design, Tintswalo Summer House will offer 12 individually styled guest suites, and the Summer House Eatery, lunch, and dinner in an elegant and relaxed setting.

When visiting us, please note we are a cashless enviroment. Unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate children under the age of 12 during dinner service.

    We chose Tintswalo Summer House because of its proximity for our 50th wedding anniversary. Our previous experience before the revamp had not been good. I took time off to review the menu and to check the ambience on the Thursday before we had lunch there on the Saturday. The booking was uncomplicated and the service warm and friendly. I mentioned the reason for the celebratory lunch and they assured me that all would be well. I liked the menu and one my wife would go for the lamb shank. I liked the look of the skirt steak and chefs salad. We arrived on the day and were showing to the table i had reserved. The vote was spectacular across Glencairn Beach. A note of congratulations, hand written was at our table and the welcome warm and discreet, just hope I wanted it to be. Both our dishes were superb -generous and superbly prepared. The service was efficient but not intrusive (thanks Aphiwe). My wife’s favourite dessert came free of charge (a deliciously unctuous crème brûlée). It was on a plate with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate. We left feeling replete and grateful for a seamless experience. I would recommend Summer House to anyone. Thank you.

    Honestly can't give enough kudos to the team at Summer House. We enjoyed the most fabulous lunch yesterday. The food was exceptional and the venue so pretty. Friendly and helpful staff. We'll definitely be back!
