    This was a repeat visit and I feel like the food quality has gone backwards. The chilli beef was mostly inedible as the pieces of beef were too big and tough to bite or chew. The underlying flavor was however still good. I also had the shiitake wonton soup which to me could have had better noodles and more flavor. The accompanying chilli was bland. I absolutely loved the kimchi, cucumber salad and side greens! Staff were great, but perhaps serving too many tables each to give attentive service, however they were all lovely and pleasant. The wine selections were great.

    The food is always spectacular, it feels like I'm in somewhere in Asia whenever I sit inside and I love the escapism Tomson creates. I go for the food over anything else and it hits every. single. time!

    One of my absolute favourite restaurants in Cape Town for Asian cuisine. Dishes that deserve a special mention are: Turnip Cakes, House Kimchi + Prawns.
