Our story began in 1977 when four brothers opened the first Turn ‘n Tender in Johannesburg.

Since then we’ve become known for our love of great steak, excellent taste in wines and our warm and welcoming atmosphere where customers become friends.

We are the place for all those special celebrations and everyday occasions, because here is where you create a lifetime of memories over a meal.

    I made a a reservation to be seated in a warm area and was given a seat in front of the door leading out to the smokers area. We elected to move ourselves to an area next to a heater. Granted the restaurant was busy but we waited a long time for our starters and when it arrived it tasted like a rushed meal. Our waiter went missing for a while when we actually wanted to order more drinks. We finally ordered our dinner with specific instructions on how the steak and chops should have been made and it arrived over cooked. The ribs which we normally pride ourselves on ordering was slightly tough and didn't fall off the bone as usual. We were just just overall very disappointed in a restaurant we are so used to receiving exceptional service.

    Lovely experience. They were extremely busy over lunch due to the R77 special, however, the waitrons were still friendly and professional!
