Our story began in 1977 when four brothers opened the first Turn ‘n Tender in Johannesburg.

Since then we’ve become known for our love of great steak, excellent taste in wines and our warm and welcoming atmosphere where customers become friends.

We are the place for all those special celebrations and everyday occasions, because here is where you create a lifetime of memories over a meal.

    It was our 60th wedding anniversary. Milton had organized our lunch experienced perfectly. The waitress was efficient and friendly. She absolutely treated us like “Royalty “. A anniversary to rember. 😅👌

    Thoroughly enjoyed our birthday dinner there. Staff was very friendly and looked after our every need and the food was fantastic! Will definitely be back, and have already recommended to my friends

    I’ve been a loyal customer of this restaurant for over 10 years and have always enjoyed the food and ambiance. However, our Father’s Day experience was incredibly disappointing. I booked a table in advance, but we were not asked about our seating preference and were placed on the patio — somewhere I’ve never been seated before. It was freezing, and when we asked for additional heating, our request was ignored. The manager said he would “see what could be done,” but never got back to us, despite me following up multiple times. I also asked to be moved inside. A table became available before our food arrived, yet it was given to another group without anyone checking in with us or attempting to make the situation right. Father’s Day is a special occasion, and I had hoped for a memorable experience for my family. Unfortunately, it was a major letdown. The service was inattentive and dismissive — not what I would expect from a place I’ve supported for so many years. Regrettably, I will not be recommending this restaurant based on this experience.
