Our story began in 1977 when four brothers opened the first Turn ‘n Tender in Johannesburg.

Since then we’ve become known for our love of great steak, excellent taste in wines and our warm and welcoming atmosphere where customers become friends.

We are the place for all those special celebrations and everyday occasions, because here is where you create a lifetime of memories over a meal.

    I have to admit, the service that we received yesterday was not even close to the usual T’nT standard. This was a corporate event and we constantly felt forgotten. The restaurant was not busy and waiters and management was half asleep on tables. We ordered medium steak which had to be sent back as it was over done. It is very clear that there is a definite lack of management there. I doubt that we will go there again.

    Attitude of the waiter was terrible. It was the last time visiting your restaurant.

    We will never entertain guest there again. Very disappointed. It started with the ladies toilet being dirty. Someone vomited all over the basin. When it came to the food, we had a steak and it was served on ice cold white plates. Also, waiters were on their phones, and not once did a manager came to ask if all was well. Food for 4 people was not served together. 2 got their steak and others had to wait. No surprise that there were hardly any guests on a Saturday night.

    The staff are noisy and it wasn’t a pleasant experience having to ensure their shouting and loud manner. We ate and left quickly.
