Our story began in 1977 when four brothers opened the first Turn ‘n Tender in Johannesburg.

Since then we’ve become known for our love of great steak, excellent taste in wines and our warm and welcoming atmosphere where customers become friends.

We are the place for all those special celebrations and everyday occasions, because here is where you create a lifetime of memories over a meal.

    The place is too cold in winter. The waiter had all sorts of reasons why they heaters couldn’t be switched on. We were so cold and had no choice but to leave after eating.

    The alcohol is expensive, especially shooters and sour whiskey, blueberry slime and it sounded like they put on small alcohol and also the glasses are too short and not very demure.

    Atmosphere was cold, place was empty 😢 only 4 tables occupied at any given time. We were there between 18h00 to 21h00. Charmaine our waitron was fantastic! Food great, but one cannot help but realise this place is not what it once was, and slipping through the cracks.

    Waiter initially forgot the sauce for my steak, and extra chillies were delivered to the wrong person. Latte charged wrongly to my account. Restaurant was not busy at all, so there was no reason to confuse orders and bills.
