Our story began in 1977 when four brothers opened the first Turn ‘n Tender in Johannesburg.

Since then we’ve become known for our love of great steak, excellent taste in wines and our warm and welcoming atmosphere where customers become friends.

We are the place for all those special celebrations and everyday occasions, because here is where you create a lifetime of memories over a meal.

    We will never entertain guest there again. Very disappointed. It started with the ladies toilet being dirty. Someone vomited all over the basin. When it came to the food, we had a steak and it was served on ice cold white plates. Also, waiters were on their phones, and not once did a manager came to ask if all was well. Food for 4 people was not served together. 2 got their steak and others had to wait. No surprise that there were hardly any guests on a Saturday night.

    The staff are noisy and it wasn’t a pleasant experience having to ensure their shouting and loud manner. We ate and left quickly.

    Seems like the chips were out of stock. Our 3 plates were definitely snooped compared to other patrons around us. 5 Chips???

    the table was dirty,service took too long also the food was not so tasty e.g the bone marrows was just boiled not even seasoned a bit or oven grilled,we kept asking for things that are so obvious like salt,peppers etc,we were sitting next to the heater but the room was still cold.
