Our story began in 1977 when four brothers opened the first Turn ‘n Tender in Johannesburg.

Since then we’ve become known for our love of great steak, excellent taste in wines and our warm and welcoming atmosphere where customers become friends.

We are the place for all those special celebrations and everyday occasions, because here is where you create a lifetime of memories over a meal.

    As long-standing customers of Turn n Tender, we have consistently regarded the establishment as a reliable destination for high-quality, tender steaks and an enjoyable dining experience overall. It is, therefore, particularly disappointing to report that our most recent visit fell significantly short of the standards we have come to expect. While the quality of the food remained commendable, the service we received was deeply unsatisfactory. Our assigned waiteress demonstrated a concerning lack of attentiveness and professionalism throughout the evening. She failed to check in on our table at appropriate intervals, neglected basic attention to detail, and did not ensure continuity of service. As a result, we were left to seek assistance from multiple other staff, which disrupted the flow of our dining experience. It was also apparent that our assigned waitress paid attention to other tables while ours was largely overlooked. This inconsistency in service contributed to an uncomfortable and frustrating atmosphere. Regrettably, even after we raised our concerns with management, there was no effort from the waitress to acknowledge the situation, offer an apology, or take accountability for the experience. Such service is not reflective of the otherwise high standards associated with Turn n Tender. As loyal customers, we found this experience both disappointing and disheartening, and we sincerely hope that greater emphasis will be placed on service quality to prevent similar occurrences in the future.

    1.We were not afforded the necessary attention and it was even sad to see people who later than us being attended to first and it stroke us as racism. 2. The waitress who took our orders was not focused as a result out order was short by one dish which prolonged our waiting time. 3.We had a special request since were celebrating a special occasion which she promised will be delivered as per our request, instead we got an underwhelming order Overall the venue is nice and the vibe is amazing
