About: At Warwick we celebrate summer to the fullest! With our summer picnic boxes filled to the brim you can look forward to a selection of delicacies curated by Executive Chef Nick van Wyk. Book a spot on our famous picnic lawn, on our picnic benches or in one of our private picnic pods. Bring along the little ones to have fun on our jungle gyms, splash around in our ‘Fountain of Youth’ and enjoy a delicious kiddie’s picnic.

    Took upwards of 20-30 mins for items to arrive. Table never cleared. Food insipid

    Perfect summer setting for an afternoon with friends. The addition of a burger bar is great for kids, and those who may get peckish after lingering a little longer. Always a to-do on my Cape Town travel list!

    We've been regulars at warwick for the last 4 years and I've never been this disappointed in the picnic basket contents. The gourmet box salads lacked flavour, the nachos didn't look appetizing at all. Further more, the removal of the dessert doesn't make sense considering the cost of the basket. Really a pity because the venue is generally such a treat and kid friendly.

    Poor salad selection, not seasoned and uninspiring especially for vegetarian picnic basket. The tofu salad had way too much curry powder. Focaccia "toast" bread cold soggy (sweats in plastic container), suggest crackers or melba toast for pate. These aren't gourmet picnics, there isn't even a sweet treat included. In fact I'd lose one of those salads in favour of a sweet treat. Service ok. Ambience ok, could enclose with a nicer looking fence. Good distance between lawn picnic areas and nicely set-up on arrival.

The suggestion of replacing an item with a sweet element is helpful insight as we are now in the process of planning to add this to refine the picnic offering.

    I thought the food in the picnic basket was very substandard. It was all curry-flavoured and tasted the same. And there was no dessert, which for the price of the basket, is not acceptable.

    Thank you for sharing your experience. Our summer picnic menu is designed to be fresh and seasonal, with curry notes intended only in the coronation sauce. We appreciate your feedback on the flavour balance and will look into it. We are currently working on introducing a dessert element to round off the picnic experience.
