Book a spot on our famous picnic lawn, on our picnic benches or in one of our private picnic pods.     The staff were very friendly, but some food items were missing from the Gourmet Picnic Baskets that we ordered. The internet menu indicated that the Gourmet Picnic Baskets include a steak sandwich, 1 desert and a piece of cake. We understand that menus can change due to availability, but no sandwiches were included, no desert and no cake. It would have been nice to have something sweet in the baskets.

Understandably not receiving this was annoying, however this item was from a picnic selection possibly 3 years back and hence is not part of the current options.     We unfortunately had a bad service experience. However, the burgers that we had were great! What they don't tell you is that the burgers self service and you have to go order and fetch them at the burger bar.

    Point taken Menno, and a remedial process has been implemented. We find some guests prefer to be up and ordering and collecting, whilst others prefer a sit down service.     Beautiful venue and the picnic was excellent, but the service was not good. We waited a long time for our picnic, despite having pre-ordered. No one served us until we proactively asked for our picnic to be served, and even then it took another 30mins, which was a shame as the location was excellent. The food was very good too, but we had to eat in a rush, which really spoiled the experience.

    Food and atmosphere was really great. Took a little while for staff to figure out we were there, and had to call for someone a few times to keep the service going.
