    It was a lovely picnic overall and the food was great. There was one very large group and then our small group on the lawn so I think the service was concentrated on the big group. Almost all the drinks that we initially ordered had run out as a result of the large group too so we had to choose from what was left which was a little disappointing. It was overall a lovely experience but I think if we’d known that most of the venue had been hired for a private function we probably would’ve chosen another day for our picnic. We also had to shuffle around a couple of times because the picnic had been orientated the wrong way so the sun kept creeping in on us and baking the food. Highlights were the Coronation chicken, biltong pate and rice salad.
