Discover our breathtaking vineyards with the exclusive Wine Drive Safari, where stunning views and award-winning wines await. Alternatively, opt for the scenic Porcupine Trail Wine Walk for a leisurely exploration of our estate, featuring unique wines and the beauty of nature.

Wine Drive Safari: The Wine Drive Safari is a unique three-hour trip on our safari-type vehicle, through the 120-hectare Estate on the beautiful slopes of the Helderberg mountain. The wine tasting will be accompanied by a platter and exceptional views. The experience will culminate with a tasting of our iconic blend The Jem.

Bookings are required a week in advance.

Porcupine Trail Wine Walk: Proudly rooted in South Africa’s rich biodiversity, the Porcupine Trail Wine Walk offers a scenic journey through vineyards and fynbos. This immersive experience showcases the unique natural beauty of the Helderberg.

Enjoy a scenic walk through the estate, discovering the unique fynbos and fauna that thrive in our diverse ecosystem. Along the way, your guide will point out the unique fynbos and fauna, providing insights into the diverse biodiversity of the ecosystem and the wines that define our estate.


The selection of three wines will be accompanied by a light lunch. On your return to the winery, your experience will culminate in our Wine and Chocolate Tasting.

    We had the most incredible wine tour yesterday at Waterford Estate with Brett 🍷 From start to finish, the experience was seamless. Brett was so friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate — he made the whole day feel relaxed, fun, and really special. We learned so much without it ever feeling overwhelming, and he went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after. The setting is absolutely stunning, and the whole experience felt very premium but still welcoming. Highly recommend this tour if you’re visiting Stellenbosch — and if you can, ask for Brett! Thank you again for such a memorable day

    We booked the wine drive safari and it was a very enjoyable experience. We had the vehicle to ourselves and the person who took us out was very knowledgable about the estate and the history of the wines. The estate is a lovely place to visit and very scenic. The wines were good and the food we had with them was great. We would recommend coming here to do a wine tasting.

    Eine tolle Erfahrung! Weinkeller und die Fahrt mit einem Jeep über die Weinfarm war sehr interessant. Die angebotenen Weine (Rosé, Chardonnay und 3 Rotweine) waren klasse. Der Guide Luke konnte viel erklären und die Weine gut beschreiben. Ein toller Nachmittag!
