The scenery is lovely. We had the charcuterie plate which was lovely but the bobotie was dry and I didn't eat much of it. I told our server and then she avoided us it seemed for half an hour. She was only serving two people. She did nothing not even an apology. When she came back she didn't even offer us the sweet menu. Just is there anything else.

Went here yesterday while my son was doing a bike event, nice farm, good service, great wine, but the food was mostly inedible and overpriced for what it was. I may have ordered the wrong things, muscles and line fish. The muscles and fish (kingklip) were both very rubbery - overcooked, and hence over priced. I wouldn't have minded paying the price if it had been good, but we sent most of it back. Wont be eating here again. Good chenin and chardonnay though ;)

Our dinner was unfortunately not a good experience. Firstly, our booked table at the window was given away and we were seated at the back corner. This after we came in earlier to personally confirm our booking and table. After we placed our order, we waited for more than an hour for our food. The bobotie was a thin layer of dry meat overbaked to scorching point. The staff were friendly, but not really interested in our well being. In previous years we had a special place in our hearts for Zevenwacht, but sadly I do not think we shall return.

We had breakfast. I had the Bagel, with bacon, scrambled egg and cheese. The portion size was good, but the cheese hard to find, and plating very unimaginative. Some greenary would have gone a long way. My friend had the Croque madame, and again the plating did not look very appetizing and lack of colour. The standard bechamel sauce was also not very obvious. We realized it was hided in the mustard sauce, but it still could have done with something green, and maybe a bit of tomato for colour. For the price I expected more.
