Located in the heart of Plettenberg Bay, one of South Africa's most loved coastal towns, The Old Rectory is an immaculately restored national monument built in 1777 and reimagined into an intimate boutique hotel, restaurant and spa.

Being a heritage site, our menu lends itself to heritage inspired dishes. Lunches are served "al fresco" on our terrace and dinners is served in our elegant dining room.

    We enjoyed a five star experience from arrival to leaving. Staff attentive without being intrusive. The Kingklip and lemon sauce was a winner.

    Great ambience for pre dinner drinks in the bar and then in the restaurant itself. Tables nicely spaced, excellent service. Food very good apart from the Ostrich which was a little on the tough side but everything else superb.

    The old rectory is every year on our plan, and we enjoyed again. e are happy every time about a very nice evening. The food is excellent, as is the atmosphere. We are particularly pleased about the very friendly and competent service. The two ladies that evening were extremely nice.
