The Winelands Restaurant
Great Food, Great Wine, Great Memories…
96 Winery Road has been proudly perfecting winelands dining since 1996 – Yes, the year we opened, not our address. A firm favourite with locals, winemakers and globe trotters alike. We wear our title of "the Winelands Restaurant" with great pride.

From our humble beginning in May 1996, it has been our goal to delight each guest with a superb dining experience. Our dedicated and passionate team have remained steadfastly committed to creating memorable occasions in our warm, welcoming and relaxing venue, set in the heart of the glorious Helderberg countryside. Over the years, we've tested, innovated and adapted our offering to meet the changing needs of our customers and we're extremely proud and excited to share it with you!

The service I experienced was very slow and not very friendly. The fillet only comes with an option of chips which I find very surprising for the price you pay. The Apple crumble desert was just plain tasteless.

I previously had an excellent experience of your Shakshuka and was really disappointed this time ; also your butter was rancid. I hope this was a once time relapse because I really like this rrestaurant

We were 13 people, seated in a cosy private area with a lovely fire to keep us warm on his chilly and wet day. The service was impeccable, present when we needed them but not intrusive. Those who ate the steaks and the duck and cherry pie raved about their food. Also declared very good was the oxtail potjie. Unfortunately I chose the prawns which were just average, served with a small hard roti, and not good value for the price, nor was the crayfish sandwich which is one of the Chef's Winter Specials. The dark chocolate mousse and the creme brulee were fabulous. So yes, we will go again but will stick with a steak or the pie.

The food was good but was expecting more wow factor. Service excellent. Disappointed at the cherry duck pie and the rib-eye was okay but would have preferred a but of char on the outside.
