Aegir Project Taproom is a family-friendly restaurant in Noordhoek, Cape Town, with a brewery at its heart.

Since opening our doors in 2015 as a small, passion-fuelled brewery obsessed with pushing the boundaries on flavour, we’re proud to have grown into the kind of welcoming home-away-from-home where locals and visitors alike can sit down and have a laugh over great food and superb beer.

Whether you’re taking in the view of Noordhoek Beach from the sundowner deck with an icy pint in hand, tucking into one of our hand-stretched, Neapolitan-style sourdough pizzas, or sampling our killer coffee while the kids tear through the playground, our aim is to make you feel like family.

    Ordered a veggie cheese burger, took a few bites of it and realised it tasted very much like beef. Asked the waitress if I got the veggie cheese burger and she said no, it was a normal beef burger as that is what I had ordered. I told her I definitely wouldn’t have ordered the normal one as what vegetarian in the right mind wouldn’t specify that they want the vegetarian one. She still tried to blame me, and I realise she was overwhelmed by the amount of people at the table but this was absolutely unacceptable and then to try and pass on the blame to me was even worse. I usually love going to Aegir and I have never had this issue before. But as a vegetarian it was honestly a horrible experience

    Bright breezy happening and cool, Smash Burgers are a favourite of ours, but all delicious. Rather pricey calamari starter, but good. Service a bit haphazard, but always enthusiastic and friendly… Great fun.

    Our waitress was excellent. I would have appreciated not being charged for that tiny portion of kimchi. It was silly.
