    The Afternoon Tea was wonderful, we missed seeing Nellie though which means we will have to visit again.

    I have Afternoon Tea at MN many times . I sadly did not enjoy this experience as much as the other 3 times I have been . The waitron service wasn't as good as previously & the savoury food wasn't as appetizing . In my opinion to have the cake buffet table at all is overkill . As it was we took home all of the little cakes from the Afternoon tea as we were full 😋. An outside awning would be very useful if you are sitting in the window table seats or a blind as the sun ( lovely to have after all of the rain ) was extremely hot when dressed for winter .

    We had such a wonderful experience at Afternoon Tea at the Mount Nelson. The food was incredibly delicious and we appreciated the variety of options available. The whole experience was very well-structured - the courses flowed effortlessly. We were so impressed by the amount of food that we received and surprised that we were able to take things home which was such a bonus (I've been slowly making my way through the sweet treats). My favourite savoury treat was the mushroom pie, the scone with homemade strawberry jam was lovely, and I particularly enjoyed the mini tart. A final choice of a variety of cakes was a wonderful touch. The carrot cake was divine! The incredible selection of tea and our consultation with Craig, the tea sommelier, was the highlight of the afternoon. Thabisa, our waitress, was wonderful - so friendly and attentive. Thabisa offered us seconds of our favourite snacks and boxed up our leftovers at various points of the afternoon. The experience was made extra special by the gifts my friend and I received. We had told Alexander at the front desk that we were celebrating personal achievements and they brought us each a special gift! Vuyiseka from the Guest Experience team organised that we each receive a full tin of our favourite teas that we had tasted, as well as the cutest pair of pink socks with cats on them. It was a truly special, memorable afternoon. Thank you sincerely to the whole Nellie team for taking care of us so warmly. I couldn't recommend Afternoon Tea at the Mount Nelson enough for a special celebration!
