Featuring over 60 meticulously selected loose-leaf teas from around the world, a unique coffee experience, and an exquisite selection of sweet and savoury treats, "tea at the Nellie" has become a cherished tradition in Cape Town.

Classic Afternoon Tea: R650 per person, includes a glass of sommelier’s choice iced tea or L’Ormarins Cap Classique.
Vegan Afternoon Tea: R650 per person, includes a glass of sommelier’s choice iced tea or L’Ormarins Cap Classique.
Gluten-Free Afternoon Tea: R650 per person, includes a glass of sommelier’s choice iced tea or L’Ormarins Cap Classique.

    an absolutely delicious high tea with incredible tea sommelier Craig -- his knowledge and enthusiasm inspired us to try several new teas and we landed up drinking our best tea ever -- blood orange rooibos. highly highly recommend

    We had a lovely time and really enjoyed the service and high tea experience overall at Mount Nelson. The one point that we feel was not fully taken care of is the absence of the tea sommelier, where we did not get explanations on the tea selection or have someone recommend teas to us during our experience. We did have a great time, but we feel we could have been better informed and taken care of. The food selection across savouries and sweet were lovely. The pianist and a few members of the hospitality team performed/sang for my mother's birthday around the cake table, it was a memorable moment she loved. Overall, a memorable experience for our party!

    Different food and flavours made for a wonderfully unique and memorable afternoon tea. Great selection of teas, hard to pick a favourite, the red tea is definitely unique. Cheslyn served us, friendly and knowledgeable, added to the experience. Would highly recommend this experience.
