I have to say it: Amura is something truly special. For a long time this region has deserved a place that feels genuinely new, fresh and full of perspective — and Amura finally brings that. The way the restaurant approaches the sea is inspiring: thoughtful, elegant and full of life, offering a completely different lens through which to understand the ocean and its products - plankton, collagens - incredible Risotto!. But what really surprised me is the atmosphere. Walking into Amura feels like stepping into a great restaurant in London, New York or any major food capital of the world. The design, the energy, the precision everything feels global, sophisticated and alive. And yet it sits here, unexpectedly, bringing that level of excitement to a place where you might not expect it. The cooking is refined but soulful, deeply connected to the sea while still playful and modern. It feels like the beginning of something new for the area a place that doesn’t just serve great food, but shifts the perspective of what dining here can be. Amura is an absolute must. I truly hope this place becomes wildly successful, because it deserves it.

Top class. Loved the prawn toast, there's so much filling and it's delicious. The seaweed martini was a great start and Lucian recommended a beautiful Chenin blanc from Remhoogte

This was my 3rd visit to Amura. The food is so beautifully presented and super flavoursome. I'm still in cape town for another week and will definitely be back. As a solo eater it was lovely to sit on the bat counter and watch the staff operate.

What a wonderful evening. The staff were so knowledgeable and guided us through the menu. The tuna schnitzel and broccoli were standouts. We will be back

The risotto was a highlight. Never had plankton in a dish before but it tasted very good. 5 stars

Love the setting, the restaurant looks and feels like we're in New York. We had the special of the night, a whole sea bass split in 2 with chimmi churri and miso glaze, it was outstanding, compliments to the chef. Our server Brian made our night a nice experience
