Dining options at The Fairway Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort are aplenty, but definitely first to be mentioned Balata Restaurant.

Offering a variety of seating arrangements, vibrant décor colours and modern fireplaces, Balata Restaurant is famous for its outstanding buffets. Light business lunches are equally popular, but Balata is certainally known for its exquisite fine dining under the leadership of our Executive Chef D'Arcy Els. Using the freshest produce available, all meals are served with great care and attention to detail.

The Roundabout Bar has cascading views over the golf course and is popular with the golfing fraternity who need to recuperate after a strenuous round of golf, or that drink on the way back home after a long day at the office.

Bar Verve with its trendy ambience is perfect for a first date, a quick get together or just for unwinding after work. A secluded wine cellar hides behind Bar Verve and provides a sophisticated private venue amongst many bottles of hand-picked South African wines.

    This is an establishment we often frequent. I don't know what went wrong this past Sunday. Reservations was for 12:30pm, we were seated at 12:40pm. By 12:50pm they had run out of oxtail in red wine sauce. They had also run out of vegetables and roast potatoes. The restaurant was not overly full. We were bitterly disappointed. I requested to speak to the head chef to address this. All I was met with is a "shrugging of shpulders" and "I'm sorry". Sorry Balata! This is not ypur usual standard. Surely you know how to cater according to reservations and not to run out of food. I won't be bringing my overseas guests back any time soon. Most disappointing.

    The food was a bit of a let down. It wasn’t our first time so I expected more. The staff were amazing. But we had a great time.
