Offering a variety of seating arrangements, vibrant décor colours and modern fireplaces, Balata Restaurant is famous for its outstanding buffets. Light business lunches are equally popular, but Balata is certainally known for its exquisite fine dining under the leadership of our Executive Chef D'Arcy Els. Using the freshest produce available, all meals are served with great care and attention to detail.

The Roundabout Bar has cascading views over the golf course and is popular with the golfing fraternity who need to recuperate after a strenuous round of golf, or that drink on the way back home after a long day at the office.

Bar Verve with its trendy ambience is perfect for a first date, a quick get together or just for unwinding after work. A secluded wine cellar hides behind Bar Verve and provides a sophisticated private venue amongst many bottles of hand-picked South African wines.

    We’ve been coning to the Sunday buffet lunch for many years when celebrating a special occasion. Yesterday was a let down to say the least and for the price I wont be returning again. Food options very limited compared to how it used to be. No more oysters, beef roast was tuff, most of the food was cold, pork roast hardy had meat and was just crackling and fat. Only 2 vegetables choices. Cream crackers for the cheese platter.. no other savory cheeseboard biscuits. Ceaser salad on a glass shelf where half of the ingredients drops off at the back, there used to be a ceaser salad station. Desert options ok. Overall for the price the quality is far from the buffet we got to know years ago. The dining hall was overcrowded with the food service starting at the same time for all guests leading to long queues at the food stations and dishes running empty. Was like a school dormitory. I was very disappointed with my experience.

    What an amazing experience. The food was very nice. Definitely worth the price. The ambiance something. All 9 of us were impressed and planning to come back. I am sad I was so full I didn't get to eat everything.What a truly wonderful experience. The food was exceptional and, without a doubt, worth every cent. The ambience was simply beautiful—elegant, warm and inviting. All nine of us were thoroughly impressed, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. My only regret is that I was so full that I couldn’t sample everything I wanted to. There was simply too much to enjoy! A memorable dining experience all round. ✨ Balata you are doing the things!
