We are, a Korean Restaurant located in Parkmore, Sandton (2km away from Sandton City). As a family owned and operated eatery, we serve authentic Korean cuisine and delicacies with a hand of mom's cooking. Kimchi, tofu and majority of sauces and marinades are made in-house with pride. In addition, we have indoor grills equipped on each table to enhance the flavour of Bulgogi, Samgeopsal and Galbi for a perfect Korean BBQ night out!

    The food was delicious! Our waitress was friendly, patient and very helpfull in explaing certain things on the menu, which made us feel at home and relaxed. We had the pork belly on the Korean Bbq grill for the first time. The sauteed asian mushrooms and the brinjal was excellent! I will definately be back to try other things on the menu.

    A pleasant evening. Enjoyable (though not outstanding). Service was specifically a bit disappointing (compared to our previous experience at old location) and I think impacted enjoyment of meal. We ordered the barbecue with sides - but had to keep asking for the sides (didn't all come together). Being hungry, family started eating what was provided as it came - but it definitely needed all the sides to make it really tasty - as the meat on its own was a bit bland. Atmosphere was pretty good (we were in the main eating area), not as cosy as old venue, but pleasant. So in sum yes, applaud and support Banchan for expanding their business to a bigger setting, but I recall the food being tastier before (maybe my imagination) and definitely the service being better. Was a Birthday night that we enjoyed for the novelty of the barbecue experience - but service/food taste wise relative to price - not sure it fully lived up to previous experience and so, experience.
