We are, a Korean Restaurant located in Parkmore, Sandton (2km away from Sandton City). As a family owned and operated eatery, we serve authentic Korean cuisine and delicacies with a hand of mom's cooking. Kimchi, tofu and majority of sauces and marinades are made in-house with pride. In addition, we have indoor grills equipped on each table to enhance the flavour of Bulgogi, Samgeopsal and Galbi for a perfect Korean BBQ night out!

    The restaurant is lovely, the food is delicious and I enjoyed the korean barbecue experience. Service was always prompt and servers were attentive. I only have a few suggestions for the future and notes for other diners. 1. Banchan does NOT participate as a "voucher partner' so you cannot use any Dineplan vouchers with this restaurant. 2. When ordering dessert, we ordered the goguma cake and the hoddeok (pancakes). The cake came almost immediately and after ±10 minutes we were still waiting for the pancakes. I suggest either (a) bring them out at the same time even if the cake is immediately available or (b) make it clear that they will bring out the cake first but since the hoddeok is being made fresh, it will take longer. That way diners can decide to start eating and potentially share the cake while they are waiting for the hoddeok or wait the 10-12 minutes for the hoddeok. 3. We ordered tea which looked beautiful with citrus and presumably sugar and syrup in the bottom and we assumed that this is what is infusing the water, but no spoons with which to stir it. It wasn't clear if we were not meant to stir the tea or they didn't provide spoons.. it is still a mystery to me.

    Have been here a couple of times with a good experience but this time around the service was very bad , it seemed like it was a problem just to accommodate or assist simple requests

    I celebrated my birthday dinner at Banchan Korean Restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavour, with a great variety of dishes to enjoy and share. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it the perfect place for a special celebration. The service was friendly and attentive, and the team helped make the evening feel memorable. I would definitely recommend Banchan Korean Restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Korean food and a great dining experience. I look forward to visiting again!
