The food was excellent! The service was top notch and our server, Germaine, was funny and helpful with great recommendations. I'd highly suggest going here. Make sure you're hungry because the portions are quite large!

Now then. Those of you who have had the misfortune to dine with me will know that I define phenomenally fussy. I only eat good steak. I only drink premium wine. I am irascibly intolerant of shoddy service. Tonight we revisited this restaurant in Cape Town. Sat outside in the barmy evening warmth. The fillet steak was beyond perfect with a chunky knife to hand and Colette’s fish was tip top too. The wines we tried - from 200 available under nitrogen by the glass - were exceptional, especially the Pinotage. The view - Table Mountain - enough said. The stemware - Reidel - is simply the best. The service was stratospherically good. And best of all - the whole lot for £70. It may look like a chain restaurant but it is anything but in terms of quality. Visit it when you can.
