Moody Lagoon is a contemporary restaurant and eatery located within the magnificent Benguela Cove, just 1.5 hours from Cape Town and only 15 minutes outside of Hermanus.

    I was a bit disappointed that the menu served (and that I booked and paid in advance) was different from the one offered on the website. Also: they have two dishes paired with the same wine but fortunately, after talking to a manager, a get a different wine from one of the two dishes. All and all it was ok and service was very good.

    Always wanted to visit Benquela Cove. Food was good, however didn’t wow. Overall, not great value for money. Waitress was kind and friendly, but service overall disappointing and slow. Not the standards you’d come to expect from a renowned wine establishment

    An absolute MUST visit if you are planning a trip to Cape Town. The service from the second we arrived to the second we left was impeccable. The food and wine were AMAZING. The grounds are literally breathtaking. A huge shout out to Jasmin for making the entire day so memorable and and equally huge shout out to Aney for making the most delicious cake for the special occasion.
