    Food below average, staff over worked, not good value for money for South Africans. This is a tourist trap, bus loads of loud tourists besiege this restaurant every hour. It has a stunning view but that’s about it.

    My wife and I are foodies and enjoy trying new places around Cape Town every week. We were very dissappinted with Black Marlin. The service was not professional. Waiters shouting orders across tables, food is extremely average, chairs broken so had to try and find new chairs, manager gave my elderly father terrible attidude, got served without cutlery, one honey bottle in the entire restaurant that took 15min to find even though it was requested when we ordered our drinks (tea), ordered a steak with cheese sauce, the steak arrived on time but the cheese sauce was 15min late because they forgot, two chicken curries were ordered but only one was complete, the other missing condiments. It felt like a comedy of errors - at every turn. Never experienced something quite like it. The only good thing is the view unfortunetly. We have been looking forward to try this spot since coming to Cape Town, passing it quite a number of times But this has been the worst experience we have had in Cape Town since arriving 3 years ago.
