On Paul Clüver Family Wines lies the new restaurant by Bertus Basson and Carla Burger.
Open Tuesdays to Sundays from 08:00 - 11:00 for breakfast and 12:00 - 14:30 for lunch.
Our focus is simple farm cooking in the heart of Elgin and we cater for the whole family.

    Service was a bit poor compared to other places of Bertus Basson. Starters came almost at the same time as the first ordered snacks. Nobody refilled the glasses. Had to call for service several times. A bit inattentive although there were only 3 tables with guests.

    Lovely people! Great food and venue, just a confusing winter sharing special menu! Also choice of more vegetarian main dishes would be great?!

    We were disappointed as the winter menu sent by email on 3rd July was no longer available. There was a choice of 4 “sharing” mains. We had the chicken pie with salad. Even having had the delicious kudu tartare starter the pie was definitely not big enough for 2 people & the salad of lettuce, a couple of slices of onion & apple with a dressing was under whelming. Also 3 little slices of bread “on the house” was a bit mean. We would have preferred for the restaurant to cancel our booking as we were the only 2 people in the restaurant & the winter special had stopped.
