    Our waiter spoilt the experience. Meat was overdone he kept on asking when the main course could be placed and we said now and 40 minutes later he was asking the same question. He messed up our starter order as well. Very disappointing as I rated this restaurant very highly last time

    The steak was inedible. Sides were great. Overrated. So disappointed. Who is giving these inflated reviews. Must be tourists or people who want to be “see”

    We had various cuts of steak, the fillet I had was probably the tastiest steak I have ever had, unfortunately the service wasn't as good as the food. The background music was far too loud which meant I couldn't hear alot of what the waitress said, which may have contributed to one of our orders being incorrect and meaning one of our party had to wait for her food. I did ask for the music to be turned down, but it wasn't. Overall great food, shame about the service and ambience.

    This was our first time at Bo-Vine, Camps Bay, and we were blown away. Firstly by our fabulous waiter Kirk who was engaging, funny , informative, knew his wines and menu, gave us pointers on what to go for. We had never eaten bone marrow and he told us how delicious it was, and he wasn't wrong . We arw from Scotland and we hqve good steaks, but our fillet and rib eye were perfect, like cutting through butter. Kirk is a credit to the restaurant. We will certainly be back Many thanks for a memorable night.

    We had been recommended this restaurant by a friend and were really looking forward to fantastic steak and great hospitality. Unfortunately that isn’t what we got… I don’t know if we just hit a bad night, but the service was confusing and rushed (including but not limited to being asked multiple times whether we were ready to order by three different people) until eventually one waitress took control at which point it was fine. Abigail tried her best to rectify the situation I will say. Overall the atmosphere was soulless and the whole place seemed to cater most to tourist groups interested in a fast meal. We ordered the large wing rib steak for two. The steak was average, at best, and the sides were nothing special. Having been to Cape Town multiple times, I can honestly say this was the most disappointing meal I’ve eaten here. Perhaps our expectations were too high, we were expecting a great dinner - but it is very much overrated, and this place should not be talked about on the level it is or compared to other great restaurants in the area, as there is really no comparison.
