    We know what Brazas is all about we love it. Took a friend along and was interested to hear her opinion. She loved it, commented about the fine dining tablecloth on the table a big plus for her as well as the cuisine and noise levels at a bare minimum. Pedro & team deserve all the accolades they get at Brazas

    Last night we ordered 4 starters to share( Calamari,trinchado,sardines and chicken livers). All 4 starters were outstanding. For mains I ordered the Portuguese steak (mediun) which I was really looking forward to. The steak was a disaster, very tough . What was more concerning was that the whole point of having a egg on a steak is so that when you cut the egg , the yolk spills onto the meat. The first egg was rock hard and I sent it back only to receive a egg that was marginally better. Not good enough.

    I thought your serving of tripe was quite small seeing that I came there particularly for the tripe

    Prawn starter was delicious, prawn and chicken curry was too hot, Portuguese steak was tough, there was a very noisy table of around 10 people

Regarding the curry, it’s one of our best-selling dishes and a guest favourite, though we completely understand that spice levels come down to personal preference.     For a cosy and relaxed evening out with friends and family, Brazas is our favourite restaurant in East London. The food is superb, and the service and ambience first class. Not pretentious, just right. The prawns, by the way, are very good!
