Our al fresco styled eaterie offers a casual and relaxed dining experience and enjoys fabulous sweeping views of the mountain range framed by the natural beauty of the indigenous flora.

The flexible menu, available 24 hours a day, means you can enjoy a California styled menu at any hour, including a breakfast if you are still functioning in a different time zone. Enjoy anything from tasty salads and sandwiches to the most honest hamburger in Cape Town or a piece of grilled fish caught fresh on the day. During summer we offer an extensive ice cream menu and fresh fruits.

    In a 5 star hotel like 12 Apostles we expected something else that what we experienced when we had dinner there on 19 Feb. 2026! Cafe Grill is not very sophisticated with an informal setting. But, still we expected more after having tried Azure the day before! We opted for todays catch which was hake. A solid cut was served semi hot with neutral veges and a potato cake. We finished off with a cheese cake and an ice cream in coffee. Much better then the main. The staff was absent most of the time. The table was not professionally presented and the entire room needs an overhaul. We saw very few guests in Cafe Grill during our 2 days stay. For reasons? Azure (12 Apostles fine dining restaurant) delivered though. Food, staff and ambience all good.

    One of our group of three ordered sushi. She was informed that she had to wait 30 minutes because the chef was busy. Upon enquiry after 30 minutes we were informed that the chef had not yet started on the order. We then enquired how long it would take upon which we were told that the chef said that we just have to wait. This is really bad service!

    Great venue and service, the food was good on the whole apart from the hard avocado on the one of 4 dishes which we were compensated for. The setting is stunning the service impeccable
