Welcome to Cape Point Vineyards, a unique little farm in Noordhoek where vines are lazily nestled between mountains and ocean.

As with the vineyards in Noordhoek, you’ll find that people here likewise take it slow. So too in the kitchen we take time in selecting fresh ingredients and crafting all components of our dishes by hand.

So, on behalf of our Executive Chef, Bradley Mathias we invite you to “this side” of the mountain, where you will want succumb to our nature; take your time, sit back, relax, and simply enjoy life and the breathtaking view…

What a stunning day we had! My fiancée’s family and I visited this beautiful location as I had planned to propose to her there, largely because of the incredible scenery and beautiful weather. The engagement itself was absolutely amazing, and the location could not have been more perfect. Unfortunately, the one thing that put a slight damper on the experience was the service and, more specifically, the lack of attention to the special occasion. I called the restaurant several days in advance to explain that I was planning to propose and made the reservation accordingly. When we arrived, I confirmed the booking and even noticed on the waiter’s iPad that there was a special note stating “proposal”. Once the proposal had taken place, our waiter congratulated us, and the restaurant acknowledged the engagement, which we appreciated. However, there was no small gesture from the restaurant to mark the occasion — not even a complimentary glass of bubbly, small dessert or anything similar. While this certainly did not ruin what was an incredibly special day for us, it was disappointing. For birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions, it is fairly common for establishments to do something small to make guests feel celebrated. Even something as simple as a complimentary drink or dessert would have gone a long way. What makes it more disappointing is that we have spoken to several people about the experience since, and everyone has expressed the same sentiment — even your local Spur would generally do something small to acknowledge a special occasion. The location itself is absolutely beautiful, and our engagement will always be a special memory for us. However, I do feel the restaurant missed an opportunity to create an even more memorable experience for us. It was a beautiful setting for such an important moment, but the service and lack of attention to the occasion unfortunately left something to be desired.

The waiters were fabulous , the ambience was outstanding but my lamb Shank was over priced and very tough too eat. It needed to be cooked another 3 hours to fall off the bone and there was no mince sauce. Desert and wine excellent!

Wow what a beautiful place this was and I am glad I chose it to celebrate my birthday. Service was excellent Shawn and Mandla are amazing. Just one thing food was great just that my potato dauphinoise was a bit raw I did bring it to the waiter's attention but did get any apology for that sadly
