Inside you’ll find a formal dining room with plush seating and smaller, intimate private dining rooms.     Another fantastic evening at the Cattle Baron in Paarl! It’s hard to overstate how consistently excellent this steakhouse is — truly one of the best, and an absolute must if you’re in the area. Most of our group didn’t even glance at the menu and went straight for the Chateaubriand, which never disappoints. My son opted for the Chicken Parmesan — a definite must-try — while I had the Kingklip. Who would’ve thought a steakhouse could prepare fish so perfectly? Highly recommended all around.

    There’s a reason I find myself returning to this Cattle Baron almost every week. It truly stands apart — I genuinely believe it’s one of the best steakhouses in South Africa, if not the best. Being voted the 40th best restaurant in the country for 2024 says it all. Franco, Riaan, and the rest of the team know how to deliver an exceptional experience every time.
