    Very nice staff and we received an excellent service. The food was also well presented but just too salty and the crumbed mushrooms were soggy.

    service was slow the waiter disappeared for long period and we were just sitting there. value for money was not good as when you order baby potatoes with your meal you get 5 tiny one whereas if you order chips or salad you get 10x the amount.

    We chose the restaurant for its fresh design and lovely evening views across the river into the wooded SA observatory precinct. We booked a week ahead of Valentine's day, expecting the Riverlands restaurants to be full. We confirmed our booking. Sadly, we were offered a small secluded table away from yje windows and behind a false screen. To her credit, when we asked to be moved, since we were not walk-ns and there were open tables, the waitron found more amenable seating for us. Well done! Our starters - mussles and chicken livers respectively, were generous portions and tasty. Wine-by-the-glass is well-priced although the range is limited. My main was Fillet Rossini - expected peri peri chicken livers piled on top but they were in an onion smoortjie, sadly. That said, the steak was delicious - medium rare, succulent, tender, delicious! My partner's madagascar green pepper steak too was delicious - with the mild green pepper flavour to enhance the succulent steak. Our waitron blamed the kitchen for the delay in delivery of my dom pedro, but the kitchen did a sterling job, somewhat earlier, in fulfilling the request for a creme brulee without the caramelised sugar top: according to my partner, the creme was exactly as she loves it. The evening was a satisfying one - good food at reasonable prices in a welcoming setting. The other diners too, often dressed to the nines and enjoying selfies, were happy and celebratory. We'll be back for more, checking more carefully with our waitron about what we can expect. Certainly, for my partner and me, the starters and steaks were delectable. Good value, Cattle Baron Riverlands!

    One of the best Cattle Baron in cpt!!! The food was well prepared and we enjoyed it so much that we requested to see the chef and personally thank him! I would suggest that they offer non-alcoholic sparkling wines for people that don’t drink alcohol, but we had an option to purchase a bottle of non-alcohol sparkling wine at woolies. And since it was valentines, the special welcome drink was really nice. Will definitely visit more often, the staff was really friendly

    I thoroughly enjoyed my time there last night. I went on a solo date on Valentines and everything was just perfect. Service was pretty good waitresses and waiters made effort in trying to create conversations with me. I had a problem when I was trying to pay and the lady was patience with me. It wa sorted out and honestly I had such a great time I will definitely be coming back

    Great experience at the new Cattle Baron Riverlands. Such a welcoming, modern restaurant as part of the overall brand new precinct - with the trusted Cattle Baron quality food. Pleasantly surprised.

    Food was quite bland, a bit disappointing considering the wonderful experience had at the plattekloof branch. Our waitress was excellent and the service was amazing.

    My first time at this restaurant . My sisters and i had a blast , our waitor Ambrose was tops aswell as Caitlin. Frienldy staff , was very very nice . Im here from abroad and dining with my 2 sisters was just amazing .
