    Last year experience was better according to the other’s I personally wasn’t there

    Only reason for 4 rating on food is the mayo with the una was much to spice hot. Bread selection fresh and delicious, canape variety most enjoyable, karoo steak, fries and salad delicious along with the beautiful setting and view.

    Ellerman House is one of those places that quietly takes your breath away. The setting is as picturesque as it gets, perched above Bantry Bay with ocean views that change beautifully as the sun goes down. Definitely a must-experience location for sundowners in the Cape Town spring/summer seasons. As you walk down the staircase to the dining area, you’re surrounded by striking South African artworks that immediately set the mood. It feels elegant but never pretentious, the kind of space that invites you to slow down and enjoy the moment. The team deserves a special mention. Every person we interacted with was warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. They have that rare ability to make service feel effortless while still keeping everything perfectly timed. If you’re having a drink, let the bartender take the lead. Their creativity behind the bar is something special, and when you give them the freedom to experiment, you’ll end up with a cocktail that feels completely your own. The food was exceptional. Every dish was full of flavour, beautifully balanced, and plated with real care. Just when I thought the meal had peaked, the dessert arrived. The semifreddo completely stole the show. It was light and creamy, and it was the perfect way to end the evening. What makes Ellerman House stand out is how relaxed it feels for a fine dining experience. It’s luxurious, exclusive and yet welcoming, and that balance makes the evening so memorable. Would definitely recommend!

    I usually dislike fixed menus. This was a wonderful exception to that rule! Everything was beyond all of our expectations. We were still talking about it the next day!
