Farro is an intimate Modern European restaurant serving a 5 Course Chef's Menu. Owned and run by husband and wife team Alex & Eloise Windebank, the couple have restored a historic Victorian terraced house in Cape Town's Gardens neighbourhood to home their restaurant. Featuring a cocktail bar, an open kitchen & upstairs dining rooms, Farro invites guests to enjoy a refined dining experience in a timeless setting.

    Farro delivers excellence on all fronts. The menu concept, ingredients, quality of the cooking and execution are world class. All the courses worked well and delivered beautiful flavour. The service and ambience are delightful. The place would easily win a Michelin star. The husband and wife team behind it are passionate about what they do and it comes through in a must visit Cape Town dining experience.

    We have been following Eloise and Alex since their days in JHB. Its wonderful to see them getting back to their menu roots, but with a fine dining flair that enhances great produce and beautifully defined restraint. As always Eloise knows how to pair Alex's dishes with glasses from wineries you have never heard of. Their recreation in Gardens displays their passion for local ingredients and takes your palate on a stunning western cape journey. The space is eloquently designed with gorgeous pieces and strikingly rich tones. Spend an hour in the bar drinking curated cocktails, feast at your table with sparkling conversation and finish the evening on the balcony where you are wrapped with the warm lighting from Table Mountain on a clear night. Well done to the Windebanks on your latest reinvention! We will be back. Always

    Farro know how to make the entire experience perfect. We loved the whole evening and the food was so delicious! It’s great to have them back in the city. Can’t wait to go again.

    Such a great night! The set menu was delicious from start to finish, and the wine recommendations were spot on. Great service and a lovely atmosphere.Would highly recommend it.

    Our favorite restaurant in Cape Town right now. Incredible attention to detail and personalised service. The food and ambience are outstanding, I would give it two Michelin Stars if I could.

    Everything here is just right. They serve great cocktails, excellent wines and the food is exceptionally good. And that's every time. The quality is outstanding. The service also leaves nothing to be desired. The only slight downside is that they don't serve espresso at the end. After a Negroni and wonderful pasta as a starter, that would be the perfect finish. One of the best restaurants in Cape Town!
