We’ve brought that “Figo” feeling to the 8th floor rooftop of The Cole. Here, the ocean breeze is your aperitivo, the landscape your backdrop. Our kitchen works with fire and effortless finesse - freshly rolled semolina pasta, seafood and meats charred over wood and coal, seasonal produce treated with the respect it deserves… Oh so cool.

Four people for dinner at 7:30 Sunday night. Probably the worst restaurant experience in all aspects for all of us at any time eating out over the last 50 years all over the world and in Cape Town. Service slow to non-existent. Of the 12 dishes ordered, four were inedible, 6 were extremely poor and two were good. Around 9:30 most of the staff departed, including most of the management, and we were all left to our own devices. A few of the staff were very apologetic and tried to be as helpful as possible but they were facing a losing battle. The remainder of the staff simply were out of their depth and the service industry is not for them. We will return to Lily's, our tried and trusted Kobe restaurant, to check the wheels haven't fallen off there but we will not be returning to Figo under any circumstances.

A great setting - pretty hard to beat a sea view like that. Food was ok, for the 2nd time visiting. Prices on par for the restaurant. Make sure the booking deposit is accounted for on the bill - the first time it wasn't on the bill, the 2nd time it was on the bill, but the full amount was billed. The restaurant called to apologise for the error and said they would refund the deposit (good), but 2 days later no refund (not so good). I will still go back for the view.

Our expectations were not met. We ordered filet mignon, cooked medium. The first one was well-done, so we sent it back. The second one was almost raw and arrived without any side dishes. We complained, and the side dishes arrived after we had finished eating the meat. So we ended up eating in three separate meals, which wasn't pleasant. The quality of the meat itself was excellent; now they just need a chef who knows how to prepare it properly. The cheesecake, unfortunately, wasn't fresh either. On top of that, our reservation for the terrace was given to guests who hadn't made a reservation, right in front of us. The evening was far too expensive for what it was. We won't be coming back.

Beautiful location. Requested outside seating 3 days in advance, this wasn’t considered, but we got a table "half outside". Excellent Service from Sephora! Starter Portion Tuna Crudo was ridiculously little, still very delicious - prawns instead were a decent portion. Pasta Mains outstanding!
