Dineplan is doing itself a disservice by having this restaurant on its portal. My ribeye was inedible.

The food was incredible. Unfortunately, almost everything around it was poor. We went to Gaucho after it was recommended by a friend, so expectations were high. From the moment we sat down, the restaurant was so dark that we couldn’t read the menus. We asked for a light, but the one brought to us wasn’t charged, so we ended up using our phones just to see. We ordered wine — out of stock. Ordered an appetizer — also unavailable. Ordered a starter — the tacos we wanted were unavailable too. Then our mains arrived after our cutlery had been taken away. We had to call another waiter for cutlery, which arrived without serviettes. The table itself was so unstable that William had to physically hold it still while I ate to stop the glasses from potentially tipping over. Throughout all of this, neither our waitress nor a manager came over once to check on us. Then came the bill. Because it was still almost impossible to see, we again used our phones to check it and noticed an additional cheesecake charge that wasn’t ours. Whether it was simply an error or not, it was disappointing — particularly after the evening we’d already had. Correcting the bill then took another 20 minutes. The frustrating part is that the food was genuinely excellent. With food that good, Gaucho could have been a fantastic experience. Instead, the lack of basic service, lighting, attention to detail and management oversight completely overshadowed it.
