While the 18th century Manor House and The Owner’s Cottage reflect their Huguenot heritage, The Restaurant and wine tasting area of Grande Provence project a chic industrial presence.

High-backed chairs upholstered in white leather draw the eye to the centre of the deep blue-grey hand-plastered walls, while deeply recessed windows frame the picturesque view from the interior.

Crisp white linen napery criss-crosses the table tops and the polished glasses and cutlery gleam with care and attention.

Over the winter months the flickering light of a log fire joins the candlelight to enhance the warmth and attentive hospitality at The Restaurant.

Leading off The Restaurant is the welcoming wine-tasting area. The bar dominates the centre of the room – striking in galvanised steel with black strapping. A touch of fun is evident with the tractor seat bar stools, while a fireplace and upholstered chairs soften the perimeter of the room, inviting guests savour every sip of the Estates award-winning wines.

    A beautiful setting with a lovely courtyard area. The food and service were excellent and thoroughly recommend visiting this winery.

    Shocking service. Main dishes arrived in batches, more than 20 minutes apart. No supervision. Side dishes arrived after main dish plates was cleared. Waiter was unsure who ordered what. Children was given side chips before their fish arrived that was actually for the whole table. A special 80th birthday celebration was spoiled. One waiter for a table of 19 people. No salt and pepper on the table. No refilling of wine and slow drink orders. The food was excellent but cold. Good ambience with fire (but we had to fuel the fire ourselves. Beautiful setting but room felt cold.

    Food was ok. The employees serving the food was ok. But the kitchen was very very slow. We were there for lunch and was very disappointed by the time taken by the kitchen to release every single order. For a restaurant of this level it is inadmissible!!

    I am local and this is one of my 3 "go to" places when hosting friends and guests - which I do often. As with all restaurants - I have experienced an "off day" - but food and life are not about perfection - its about the offering, the consideration and authenticity. Very special operation, people and reliable asset if I want people to feel special, comfortable and valued. Support them as often as you can esoecially in the main dining room.
