Wow! After almost three weeks in South Africa, I can say that this was the best menu we've had so far! Its competitors include eleven (Franschoek) and Fermier Restaurant (Pretoria), among others. The menu is incredible. For each course, you can basically choose between fish or meat. You can choose from the “standard” menu or a surprise special. The menu costs €50 per person, excluding drinks, and is well worth it. The only criticism would be the lighting: it would be nice to use the beautiful chandeliers dimmed instead of the floor lamps. Note: it's a very cozy evening with a fantastic view and wonderful food! It can take a little longer between courses. Therefore, I recommend booking an earlier table around 6:30 p.m. We had a table at 7:30 p.m. and were there for about 2.5 hours. Thanks again to the chef for the brief personal conversation at the end. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful evening enjoying the views from the terrace whilst served delicious and plentiful food - we went for the surprise menu, which didn't disappoint. The service was excellent and included a visit from the chef, who was utterly charming and very passionate about his work - highly recommend!
