A classic cocktail lounge, restaurant and boutique bar.

It is located upstairs overlooking 61 Harrington Street. The open panoramic windows give one a real visual of the neighbourhood and provides the perfect perch on which to sit, relax and wallow with one of our tasty libations, craft cocktails or tantalising tapas.

Expect beautifully polished wooden accents, windows, velvet bottle service booths, dedicated smoking lounge and a boutique DJ booth geared up for late evening revelry. This is a cool environment with a distinct air of sophistication.

    I have been pretty excited to try Harrington's for a year now and I made a booking for my birthday for my partner and I. We had cocktails - expresso martini and whisky sour. It was horrible. My partner had the lamb as a starter. It was BURNT, as in black edges and they still garnished it and served it. I informed the waiter and asked for the bill immediately, he had the audacity to still charge the starter and did nothing to rectify the situation at all. My partner still tipped him generously because it was not his fault the kitchen sent out such an atrocious dish. However, he could have apologized and informed the kitchen and the manager - as a result my overall experience was horrible and despite the enticing menu and specials, I will never go back.

    We expected much more and much better. Food was below average, my starter was literally 1 arancini ball. My greens in the main were drenched in oil. Myself and my partner do loads of date nights such as Asoka , hussar grill, flirt restaurant on and on but this was probably the one at the bottom of the list. Definitely would not recommend

    Hi Danica, We are so sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your experience with us last night, we would have loved to have known about any issues that you had on the night so that we could have done something to correct any errors so that you could have enjoyed your experience, we will check in with the kitchen to address any over oiling issues. As for portion sizes, we are currently serving a glass of Boschendal Brut mcc & fries pairing promotion on arrival, yes the arancini starter is a smaller canapé starter portion with a full sized main and a dessert at the end with a tasting of a total of 5 different wines for R350 per person, we think that this is quite the deal for the price and are sorry to hear that you felt you did not receive the value that we intended, we will take your feedback into consideration for the future.

    We were celebrating a birthday and an anniversary. We had to continuously ask for our wine with our meals; they kept forgetting about us. Four people ordered the steak and two of us the fish. The others were almost done eating when the waiter came to me to tell me he forgot to put through my fish order. So, we ended up eating when the others were already done. They tried to make it up by giving us an extra glass of wine. That unfortunately did not work for me especially coming out of the same industry, I know all about customer service and I feel I did not get that at all. On the whole the atmosphere was lovely, it is a lovely restaurant, and the food was good.

    Great value for money paired with exceptional wine. Ambience very nice with low lighting but music quite loud at times. But overall enjoyable experience and will return

    Harringtons Cocktail Lounge delivered an excellent experience all round. The food was impressive, offering great value for money, and the service was attentive from start to finish. The ambience is stylish and vibrant, making it a perfect spot to unwind. The location is convenient, the facilities are clean, and overall I would definitely recommend Harringtons for a great night out.
