The Idiom Restaurant and Wine Tasting Centre is nestled in the heart of the Helderberg, just a few minutes outside Somerset West. This southernmost corner of the Stellenbosch Wine Region provides the ideal setting and climatic conditions for Idiom's collection of iconic regional blends and distinctive Italian-South African varietal wines, all of which can be enjoyed in our restaurant and tasting room.

    The ostrich carpatchio and fillet steak i had were both superb and my guests enjoyed their vegetarian dishes. The service was top notch. This must be my favorite restaurant.

    As always, the food was excellent and the service was very attentive. Unfortunately, for a winery, the wine by the glass was poured rather sparingly.

    The food is great and the service was impressive, we enjoyed the assistance of a very capable and pleasant server, who added to the experience. Magnificent views, but quite a big hall type environment.
