Idiom wines is based in the heart of the Helderberg range. This southernmost part of the Stellenbosch wine region provides the backdrop and the perfect climatic conditions for the incredible range of wines. A celebration of terroir, unusual varietals and masterful blends, Idiom is so-called because it is home to the Cape expression of so many European classics. The Cape Idiom, if you will.

The Idiom Restaurant and Wine Tasting Centre offers world-class and informative tasting experiences that showcase Idiom’s flagship blends, signature Italian varietal wines and rare limited release 900 Series wines. Explore the ‘Cape Idiom’ of the great wine regions of the world, while taking in architecture, views, and Italian-South African wines. Guests are also able to embark on a virtual journey through the main wine regions of Italy at the Vinotria Italian Wine Library – a display of 250 wines from all over Italy distributed by Bottega Family Wines in South Africa.

    Very very good service, staff was very friendly and checked up on us while we were eating. Place is sooo gorgeous! Highly recommend

    Wanted to go to Idiom for years and finally managed it. The toad to the estate was beautiful. You arrive to a beautiful wine estate. The staff were very friendly and helpful from the moment you arrive. The food was so nicely presented and taste so good. We had Civeche that blended nicely with the Rose, then the lamb that was cooked to perfection. Some of our table had pizza's that were indeed very good. The wines were very nice as well, but the grappa the waitron offered was so good and ended the meal in such a nice way. We'll be back soon for sure. Thanks Idiom team for a wonderful Sunday afternoon.

    I had a lovely experience. I was studying and I appreciate the space made for me to plug in my laptop charge I am definitely bringing my friend over the weekend :) It will also be my new study location :).

    Love the choice of crockery and glassware. Good pizza and very fast service. Of course, great view.
