    As always, a meal at Ischia is not only a wonderful gastronomic experience but also almost an event. The food is excellent, the people are incredibly friendly and the ambience and design of the restaurant is just delightful. A true find close to Stellenbosch where a delightful meal was enjoyed by all of us.

    The restaurant has a modern Italian feel - light, bright and airy. All members of staff were attentive without being intrusive. The food was utterly sublime and definitely worthy of a few return visits! They're ticking all the boxes. TOP NOTCH!

    The food (gnocchi) was delicious! For 4 people it did end up on the pricey side, but with the very good service (thanks Ashleigh) and the tasty meals it was worth it!

    From the moment we arrived at Ischia Restaurant Stellenbosch, it felt like stepping straight into a modern Italian dream right here in the Cape Winelands. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between elegant and relaxed — chic Mediterranean vibes with warm hospitality that makes you feel instantly at ease. We started with fresh antipasti and drinks, but the real highlight was the spaghetti — cooked perfectly al dente, with every strand whispering of authentic Italian technique and passion. The fish was another revelation: beautifully fresh, expertly seasoned, and so tender it practically melted on the palate — the kind of dish that makes you close your eyes and lean into every bite. And then… the dessert. Watching the tiramisu prepared tableside was pure theatre — a creamy, coffee-kissed finale that brought laughter, smiles, and a sweet sense of celebration to the table. It wasn’t just a dessert, it was an experience — vibrant, playful, and utterly delicious. This place is modern Italian dining at its best in Stellenbosch — where traditional flavours meet contemporary flair, and every dish feels like an invitation to enjoy la dolce vita.
