    It was disappointing to see no vegan options at an Eco hotel. We had to ask for a lot of substitutions to be to eat.

    We had an amazing 40 year Anniversary celebration at Kraal restaurant on Saturday the 5th of September 2026. Everything was set up perfectly when we arrived at restaurant in the morning. It was a chilly day and the fire in fireplace added such warmth and ambuance. The buffet breakfast was absolutely delicious and attention to detail perfect! Everyone complimented us on the wonderful venue. Thank you to the staff and Manager of Kraal for excellence. Five star service indeed from us.

    I ordered the Meat Lovers Platter for 2. The presentation was good, the meat quality was great, and the service was friendly and impressively quick. However, I felt there was a lack of balance in the seasoning. The meat could have used a little more seasoning, and the BBQ sauce wasn’t quite to my taste as it seemed underseasoned, which made the overall flavour a little unusual. The chips were absolutely delicious! 😊 I would also suggest considering fresh vegetables instead of frozen ones, as the vegetables were a bit mushy and affected the overall experience. Overall, the presentation, meat quality and service were good. With a few adjustments to the meat seasoning, BBQ sauce and vegetables, I think the platter could be even better.
