    We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary with family and had an absolute wonderful time. As a table of 10 we indulged in various of the delicious main meals and desserts and none of them disappointed! Thank you for making our special day memorable with amazing food, great service and all round good experience!

    Honestly a good unpretentious restaurant meal you won’t find so easily in Jhb. A few vegetable accompaniments would be welcome though .

    We had an excellent lunch with starters ranging from fresh mussels to brie in phyllo. These were followed by steak tartare, pork chops (somehow moist and with crispy crackling) and steak with pepper sauce. Puddings were also delicious with lemon tart and panna cotta. The bill was very reasonable especially as there was no corkage. The service was attentive and precise. This is a delightful place which deserves greater patronage.

    The cuisine is exceptionally well crafted albeit expensive, especially the starters. A small restaurant with no soft furnishings results in a loud level of noise from diners talking ever louder to make themselves heard, and that is why I marked "Ambience" down. It would be welcome if the menu either changed periodically or a range of specials could be introduced, otherwise after three or four visits one is less tempted to return, knowing that one will be faced with repeats. Service was attentive and unobtrusive, a very good attribute.

    Every dish we had was excellent as it always is, outstanding serve and the perfect vibe for a Sunday lunch.
