    The atmosphere was beautiful; however, we were positioned next to the DJ booth, which was rather loud, so we found ourselves shouting to have a conversation. We loved the music, but since there was no dancing, and it's not a dance club, perhaps the volume of the music could be a little lower. The food was ok, but the portions were way overpriced. The seafood platter was intended to feed up to 3 people, but it barely sufficed for 2 people, and some of the small plates were quite small! Add some salt to your wings; they lack flavour. In fact, the Kewpie Mayo saved most of the dishes. The drinks seemed watered down. I ordered a double Bombay Sapphire with dry lemon, and I couldn't taste any alcohol in my drink. A friend ordered a strawberry daiquiri, and hers came in a glass half full. Aren't daiquiris supposed to be a long, slushy-like drink? This wasn't. The service was ok; our waiter wasn't very attentive. We had to ask other servers to find him on 3 occasions, and then he took forever to bring us a pay point machine to settle the bill. Overall, a highly hyped destination fell short, offering overpriced drinks and food with mediocre service. Not somewhere that I will rush to in the future, but pleasant enough.

    Our year end function held at Mama samba was incredible. Staff were helpful and hardworking and attentive, food delicious and DJ understood the crows! An amazing experience. Thanks so much!
