Come and relax with family and friends and enjoy mouth-watering food at Mariella’s overlooking the beautiful rolling hills of the Swartland. Your children can play on the lawn and jungle gym while you sit back and unwind on the deck. The menu, prepared by Head Chef Jacqueline Neethling, is simple and unpretentious, yet sophisticated, and offers both lunch and dinner.

Chef Jacqueline’s passion for culinary arts started with her stay-at-home mom who’d come up with the most mouthwatering flavors and aromas, making every meal unique. Helping out in her mom’s veg and herb garden made her fall in love with the process of harvesting and cooking with the freshest ingredients. She firmly believes that a wise choice of spices and herbs are critical complimentary accessories to any winning dish. Jacqueline’s career in culinary arts followed a journey among wine estates in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek before she joined Mariella’s as Head Chef in July 2024.

    Had looked forward to returning after two years to the high standards (Jan- March 2024). However, despite the delights of the location we have been disappointed in the quality of the food served in particular the Chalmar Beef. Equal disappointment was experienced when served the Lamb shoulder. It was suspected that the meat had been cooked earlier and reheated before serving. We commend nonetheless the quality of your wines!

    This is truly beautiful place to have lunch! The food was superb, Michelin star quality served by a delightful waiter! The view from the terrace is so beautiful. Only downside is the road to get there but the experience is worth every bump and dip!
