Come and relax with family and friends and enjoy mouth-watering food at Mariella’s overlooking the beautiful rolling hills of the Swartland. Your children can play on the lawn and jungle gym while you sit back and unwind on the deck. The menu, prepared by Head Chef Jacqueline Neethling, is simple and unpretentious, yet sophisticated, and offers both lunch and dinner.

Chef Jacqueline’s passion for culinary arts started with her stay-at-home mom who’d come up with the most mouthwatering flavors and aromas, making every meal unique. Helping out in her mom’s veg and herb garden made her fall in love with the process of harvesting and cooking with the freshest ingredients. She firmly believes that a wise choice of spices and herbs are critical complimentary accessories to any winning dish. Jacqueline’s career in culinary arts followed a journey among wine estates in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek before she joined Mariella’s as Head Chef in July 2024.

    What a joy! The lamb shoulder and vegetarian platter were delicious- served by a gracious hostess in front of a cozy fireplace while sipping on the Capaia Merlot… What more can one wish for?

    An elegant venue with enthusiastic young staff. The scenery was a refreshing change and the restored farmhouse with contemporary decor was appreciated. The indoor fireplaces are definitely a plus point. Please note that CREME BRULEE is misspelt on the menu. The homemade bread rolls were beautifully presented; may I suggest that you serve them slightly warm? The plastic water bottles were odd, glass carafes would be more fitting. The flagship shoulder of lamb was utterly delicious

    Baie dankie vir julle wonderlike gasvryheid. Ons gaan dit definitief weer doen. Ek dink nie dit gebeur elke dag dat mense nagmaal op 'n wynplaas hou nie, maar julle was die mees uitstekende gashere om dit vir ons so spesiaal te maak. Baie dankie.     We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch time meal there and cannot fault the restaurant. The service and food was excellent. The view from the deck was beautiful. And they have one of the best Restrooms I have seen at a restaurant. You also have the option to walk around on the wine farm before or after the meal, with stunning views all around.
