Come and relax with family and friends and enjoy mouth-watering food at Mariella’s overlooking the beautiful rolling hills of the Swartland. Your children can play on the lawn and jungle gym while you sit back and unwind on the deck. The menu, prepared by Head Chef Jacqueline Neethling, is simple and unpretentious, yet sophisticated, and offers both lunch and dinner.

Chef Jacqueline’s passion for culinary arts started with her stay-at-home mom who’d come up with the most mouthwatering flavors and aromas, making every meal unique. Helping out in her mom’s veg and herb garden made her fall in love with the process of harvesting and cooking with the freshest ingredients. She firmly believes that a wise choice of spices and herbs are critical complimentary accessories to any winning dish. Jacqueline’s career in culinary arts followed a journey among wine estates in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek before she joined Mariella’s as Head Chef in July 2024.

    A wonderful setting with lovely staff. There is a dirt road to get to the estate, which we didn’t expect, but totally worth the drive. We especially enjoyed the wine and potato wedges and had a restful, happy experience. Thank you for a beautiful meal.

    Excellent food, ambiance, wine and great service! The only drawback, in my opinion, is the poor road conditions (road leading to the property is riddled with potholes)! Definitely recommend and the serene atmosphere was delightful!

    What a beautiful find with wonderful food sadly the access to this restaurant is rather challenging as the road is in a terrible condition.
