MIKO’s cuisine is best described as a taster to South African favourites with each of the seasonal dishes telling a story, using the freshest most local ingredients, which pair beautifully with our award-winning wine list. With its covered terrace, guests have the option of dining alfresco all year round.

A late afternoon cocktail on the terrace is the perfect way to relax, unwind and enjoy the stunning sunset whilst MIKO’s roaring fireplace in winter is perfect for pairing our MIKO Syrah with one of our seasonal warmer dishes.

    Prachtige locatie, en onze verwachtingen waren hoog. De entourage is top, het eten was okay….wij hadden er iets meer van verwacht.

    We had a wonderful meal at the restaurant the food was delicious and wine was really good value. Great service made a perfect night out.

    Miko is a stunning setting in Franschoek...the service is excellent...the ambience is excellent...however...we have eaten at this restaurant before and there was a more diverse menu & prices were more reasonable...this time the prices were ridiculous...for what was on offer it was not worth the prices of averaging R350 per main meal...we had the venison and found it dry when it got to the table...veggies with the meal were minimal and we had to order sides to stave off the hunger...

    Beautiful setup, decor and atmosphere with attention to detail. Service was great and waitress was professional and very clued up with the chef's dishes. Amuse-bouche was delicious, pork belly was wonderfully paired with the other ingredients. Choc Cremaux was awesome, but did not pair well with the sorbet's flavours in my opinion. Overall great experience and generous with the food!

    We had a fantastic 6 course tasting menu as part of the start of our honeymoon. The quality of the food was exceptional and our waiter Tinashe was polite, professional and gave us the very best service. We highly recommend Miko for those wanting to have a more elevated experience.
