MIKO’s cuisine is best described as a taster to South African favourites with each of the seasonal dishes telling a story, using the freshest most local ingredients, which pair beautifully with our award-winning wine list. With its covered terrace, guests have the option of dining alfresco all year round.

A late afternoon cocktail on the terrace is the perfect way to relax, unwind and enjoy the stunning sunset whilst MIKO’s roaring fireplace in winter is perfect for pairing our MIKO Syrah with one of our seasonal warmer dishes.

    Many thanks to our waiter, Tinashe, for the wonderful service and experience he gave us. His warmth, attentiveness and professionalism truly made our visit special. We really appreciated the his effort put into looking after us and making sure everything was perfect. We’ll definitely visit again to experience the Glass Box seating!

    The setting is amazing. The food was mediocre and despite several Sauvignon Blanc on the wine list, only one was available (we had the La Motte but were charged for the Sauvignon Blanc Pierneef). Disappointed. I did enjoy the Mont Rochelle Syrah).

    We had a lovely meal at Miko (in fact several) during our stay at Mont Rochelle. The food was excellent (crayfish ravioli followed by venison for my husband and fish for me) and the staff friendly and courteous. My only criticism is that some of the more junior waiters are prone to stack plates, even on the table. Some training needed to uplift that side of things but otherwise no complaints and we loved our whole stay at this beautiful property.

    The staff was fantastic! Food was very good too. Would have liked more mid range wine selection though. Amazing location.
