Moody Lagoon is a contemporary restaurant and eatery located within the magnificent Benguela Cove, just 1.5 hours from Cape Town and only 15 minutes outside of Hermanus.


The restaurant is glitzy and opulent, featuring a large veranda with stunning views over the lagoon. Art adorns the entire estate, creating an ambiance of modern South African dining at its finest.

    My guests and I had a wonderful lunch on the 27th of July. We were placed at a lovely round table which had a lovely view of the mountain. Our waitress was very charming and efficient. the food was very tasteful and attractively plated. We go back again.

    Good day. We celebrated my parents 47th Anniversary. 3 of us ordered the fish (King Klip) and unfortunately the fish was undercooked of all 3 of us. We were rushed to put in our order, because we were told that the kitchen was about to close. The kitchen was rushed to deliver our food. The wine and ambience were delightful

    We booked the Sunday lunch for a special occasion. Food was rushed, pre lunch cocktails and food arrived together. Dauphinoise potatoes under cooked with over baked cheese crust Pork loin spent too much time in Sous Vide I suppose, meat was mealy. After mains was served attention to service dissipated. Compared to similar venues it was expensive for a very average experience.
